Hello everyone,

As this is a subject that I have come across multiple times in the past days, I have decided to create a step by step tutorial on how to buy (in this case exchange) Karen tokens ($KAREN). As a disclaimer: this article is not sponsored, I do invest in $KAREN and it is my own choice to write this.

It has been released on the 23rd of May, a fair launch allowed anyone to buy in, I found out about it by reading on Quora, a day later. Ownership has been renounced as of 26th of May.

The market cap at this time is: $22 millions.

They are investing in exchange ads, they are supported by some YouTube influencers which are going to get out their videos in the 29–30th weekend and are pending exchange listing, before being listed on coin market cap (which to my knowledge requires at least 1 exchange listing).

Before you proceed I want to make sure I stress enough on the following things: ALWAYS double check the addresses before swapping/withdrawing. If you send to another address or to an invalid one the amount is LOST. ALWAYS make sure that the token address is official and not a scam.

As there are a few copycats already, I will start with some official information about this token:

Network: BSC

Official Website: https://www.karencointoken.com/

Twitter: https://twitter.com/karencointoken

Telegram: https://t.me/karencointothemoon

Address: 0xfd42728b76772a82ccad527e298dd15a55f4ddd6

Market Cap: Poocoin.app Link

BSC Scan: BSCScan Link

Moving on with the step by step, you will need the following:

  1. Binance account (referral link here / no referral here)
  2. Cryptocurrency wallet (I use Metamask, another popular option is Trust wallet) — These wallets are used on multiple networks, Metamask comes without the Binance Smart Chain network configured, so we will do that below.

For Binance you will need to setup your e-mail, password and phone number to validate transactions (you will receive code via SMS), as well as Google Authenticator (optional, but recommended)

The way that it works is the following: you can buy $BNB (Binance Coin):

Use whatever option fits you best
Input the amount you want to spend

Once you follow those steps, you will be prompted that the amount has been successfully added to your wallet (your Binance wallet).

As this coin is not yet listed on Binance exchange, you will have to transfer it to your Metamask or Trust wallet.

Withdrawing to your Metamask/Trust wallet

Before you proceed with what needs to be completed, for Metamask you have to configure the Binance network for your wallet. (Link to Binance)

From your app interface, navigate to Settings -> Networks -> Add

Settings — Networks — Add
Adding the BNB network to your Metamask wallet

This information is available in the link above, also here.

Once you have added the network, BNB coin should be available in your wallets, make sure you select the BSC Smart Chain network as such:

Now, you’re ready to receive your funds from Binance:

Hit receive to view your wallet address

Note your wallet address, go back to Binance and continue:

Note: The address above is not valid, you should use the address from your wallet!!

Depending on your Multi-factor authentication setup, you will be prompted to verify the transaction multiple times.

Make sure you double check your address before you finally submit.

It will take a few minutes for the BNB amount to be visible in your Metamask/Trust wallet, a confirmation e-mail will be sent by Binance as well.

Now, you can proceed to exchange. From Metamask, navigate to the Menu->Browser->https://exchange.pancakeswap.finance/#/swap

You will have to connect your wallet to PancakeSwap and then your amount will be visible.

From the exchange settings, change slippage* to 12%, choose the amount of BNB you want to swap and the target should be KAREN, type in the address if you can’t find it by name: 0xfd42728b76772a82ccad527e298dd15a55f4ddd6

*Slippage refers to all situations in which a market participant receives a different trade execution price than intended. Slippage occurs when the bid/ask spread changes.

The exchange should succeed without any issues, you will find the amount you have swapped in your wallet, you just have to add the token as well by hitting Add Custom in your Metamask Wallet interface

Congratulations, you now have purchased $KAREN tokens, sit back and enjoy the ride.

For any information about the tokenomics, please check the official site, also join the telegram group and spread some love.

Do this at your own risk, this guide applies for all swaps, not just for Karen tokens, however some addresses will be different.

Feel free to submit requests/feedback, I will do my best to reply.
